Sally and Albert saw each other for the first time on the terrace of the Soho Grand Hotel, with Manhattan spread out behind them. They said their private vows right there, just the two of them, before the day got loud.

Then came a slow walk through the streets of Tribeca, and up to the roof. They married between arches of pink roses, with the Manhattan skyline behind them. Cocktails stayed outside until the sun went down over the Hudson.

Inside, the reception room was still warm with the last of the light. Dinner turned into dancing, and the floor didn’t empty until the very end.

Behind the moment

The private vows were meant to be just the two of them, on the terrace of the Soho Grand Hotel. What they didn’t know was that the whole family was watching from inside the suite, trying hard not to be seen. It was the most emotional moment of the day.
