Concept events and immersive experiences

A concept event is an event built around a single idea that guests step inside. Sense of Moment, led by Olha Barabash, designs brand activations, immersive experiences, launches, hosted dinners and industry gatherings in New York, with the same approach we bring to weddings: the concept first, then the room, the guest experience and every moment inside it.

Red velvet curtains and candlelight, a cocktail wreathed in smoke, an empty stage under a single spotlight.
Some stories are only told once.

What we create

  1. Brand activations

A space or a moment where a brand is felt, not explained. We start with what the brand stands for and design what guests see, touch, taste and remember.

  2. Immersive experiences

Guests move through a designed world with a beginning, a build and a finale. The room, the light, the sound and the service all belong to one story.

  3. Launches and previews

The first evening a product, a collection or a project is shown, designed so the idea is understood before anyone is told what it is.

  4. Industry gatherings

Conferences, panels, receptions and awards for professional communities, planned so people meet, learn and leave with something to talk about.

  5. Hosted dinners and salons

Smaller evenings for the people who matter to a brand or an organization, with a table, a menu and a conversation shaped for them.

One idea, not a theme

A theme is something applied. An idea is something an event already has to say. We find it in the first conversations and build from it, so the experience feels like the brand or the community behind it rather than like a trend. This is the approach we use in wedding design, applied to a different kind of room.

The guest experience

We design an event from the guest’s point of view: the invitation, the arrival, the first minute inside, the moments that build, and the last thing they carry out. Nothing is left to chance, and there is always room to adapt when the evening asks for it.

Cohesive in every detail

The palette, the materials, the light, the sound, the printed pieces and the service answer to the same idea. Cohesion is what turns a well-run event into an experience people remember.

How a concept comes to life

  1. The brief

What the event is for, who it is for and what guests should feel and do afterwards.

  2. The concept

One idea, written in a sentence, with the references that explain it. Everything later is measured against it.

  3. The experience and the design

The guest experience, the space, the light, the materials and the moments, drawn and costed.

  4. The mock-up

We build a table or a corner, test the light and the flow, and change what does not hold up in person.

  5. The event

We build it, run it to the minute and take it down, so the host can be a guest.

What guests feel

Something they cannot quite name, and do not want to leave. The room makes sense before anyone explains it, and every moment seems to belong to the one before. That is what we design toward.

A recent project

We are preparing a project for an industry organization. It is not ready to be shared yet.

Coming soon

We will publish the concept, the room and the evening here as soon as it can be shared.

Questions couples ask

What kinds of events do you design?

Brand activations, immersive experiences, launches and previews, industry gatherings and conferences, and hosted dinners and salons.

Do you work with brands and organizations?

Yes. We design concept-led events for brands, companies and professional organizations, from the first idea to the last guest.

Do you design only, or also plan and run the event?

Both. We can lead the concept and design on their own, or carry the whole event, including the vendors, the run of show and the evening itself.

How do we begin?

Tell us what the event is for and who it is for in an inquiry. We will arrange a first conversation.
