Private celebrations

Sense of Moment plans private celebrations in New York with the same care we bring to a wedding: welcome and rehearsal dinners, engagement parties, proposals, milestone birthdays, anniversaries and vow renewals. We also produce corporate and brand events for clients who want the same standard of hospitality.
The occasions
- Welcome and rehearsal dinners
The night before the wedding, and the first time two families sit at one table. Often planned alongside a wedding weekend.
- Engagement parties
The first celebration of a marriage, for the families and the friends who will be at the wedding.
- Proposals
Private, precise and almost always a secret. We plan the place, the light, the timing and the photographer hidden in plain sight, and we keep the secret until the question is asked.
- Milestone celebrations
Birthdays that deserve a room, a menu and a toast.
- Anniversaries and vow renewals
For couples who want to say it again, often with the people who heard it the first time.
Corporate and brand events
For companies and brands that host clients, partners or their own teams, we bring the same approach as a wedding: one idea, a guest experience planned from arrival to departure, and a run of show written to the minute. Dinners, launches, receptions and gatherings, in New York and beyond. For brand activations and immersive experiences, see our concept events.
How a celebration comes together
The occasion
What it is for, who is coming, and what the evening should feel like.
The place
A private room, a restaurant buyout, a home or somewhere unexpected.
The design and the menu
One idea, carried from the invitation to the last toast.
The evening
We run it, so the host can be a guest.
What the host feels
Like a guest. The host greets people at the door, sits down for dinner and stays for the last toast, while every question of the evening comes to us. Hosting should feel like that: all of the pleasure, none of the watching of the clock.
Weddings we have planned

Rebecca & Nick’s Yale Club wedding
A chuppah of flowers, then the chairs lifted on the dance floor. The Yale Club, Manhattan.

Amy & David’s Blue Hill at Stone Barns wedding
A tea ceremony and a lion dance around a farm dinner. Blue Hill at Stone Barns, Westchester.
Olha, in the press
“Usually, the event itself isn’t where things get managed. It’s everything before it: the seating, the flow, the structure of the evening.”
