The day started in the city. David got ready at the Beekman Hotel, and the families gathered for a traditional tea ceremony before everyone made the drive up to Blue Hill at Stone Barns. Amy and David married in the courtyard, surrounded by closest friends and family.

The reception moved up to the Hayloft. Lion dancers opened the evening, and dinner followed the season, the way it always does at Blue Hill. All night, a painter sat by the curtains, making watercolor portraits of the guests.
