Planning

What does full planning include?

Everything, from the venue and the vendors to the budget, contracts, design, guest travel, run of show and the day itself. Full planning and design

Do you offer partial planning or wedding management?

Yes. Partial planning is for couples who have made some decisions already, such as the venue or key vendors, and want us to lead from there. Wedding management, often called coordination, begins at least sixty days before the wedding and is offered at select venues. Design and creative direction is also offered on its own. Full planning remains the heart of what we do. Our guide to planning levels explains the differences.

How far in advance should we reach out?

Twelve to eighteen months before the wedding for full planning, and earlier for a wedding weekend, a destination or a venue in high demand.

Do you plan wedding weekends?

Yes. Welcome dinners, the wedding, after parties and farewell brunches. Wedding weekends

What happens if it rains?

Every outdoor wedding we plan has a complete second plan and a decision schedule. How a rain plan works

How does pricing work?

Every wedding is different, so we set the scope and the fee together after a first conversation, once we know the date, the size of the wedding and how much you would like us to take on. You see what is included before you decide.

How involved will we be?

As much as you want, and no more. We bring you the decisions that matter, with a recommendation for each, and handle the rest. Early meetings are unhurried and spaced out, they come closer together as the date approaches, and in the final week we talk every day.

Can we bring our own florist or vendors?

The design starts with the concept. Based on its scale and style, we bring in a vetted florist and the makers we trust to build it. If you already love a vendor, tell us early and we will tell you honestly whether they fit the concept and the scale.

Can you step in just for the day?

No. A wedding cannot be run well from the day itself, because the vendors, the timeline and the details all have to be confirmed beforehand. We step in at least sixty days before the wedding, and we offer it at a select list of venues we know well.

Can you work with vendors we have already booked?

Of course. We review what is in place and tell you honestly where we see risk.

Beginning

What should we have ready for the first conversation?

Nothing formal. A rough date, an idea of the guest count, the city or venues you are considering, and a sense of how you want the day to feel. We will work out the rest together.

How do we begin?

With a short inquiry. Olha’s office replies within one business day and arranges a first conversation.
