Whitby Castle Wedding

"Can you plan our NYC Wedding in 4 months?" - We got you!

That’s how our story with Anna & Dan started in March 2018 and was perfectly executed on July 13th, 2018 at Whitby Castle in Rye, New York.

Before going into pretty details of this beautiful & unique celebration, here is one priceless tip you want to use while planning a wedding on short notice - be flexible.

Taking into consideration that a lot of NYC venues were already booked during the summer weekends, we opted to a Friday wedding that helped us to get a venue, worth every girl’s fairytale dream - Whitby Castle.

The unique feature of this place was a perfect combination of a fairytale castle architecture, clean blank reception room layout (that gave us the flexibility to create a truly unique wedding design-see below), and absolutely picturesque landscapes.

Anna, the bride, wanted to incorporate her favorite royal blue color into event design, yet keep it very elegant. Personally knowing what a "wedding color obsession" means (emerald obsessed person here), we tried to keep “royal blue” as the main decor element, combining it with other lighter and softer hues, and rich gold components.

Just take a look at this gorgeous and absolutely unique bridal bouquet?

FlowerLand Decor created one of our favorite wedding arches ever for this romantic and sweet wedding ceremony.

One of the most challenging and exciting tasks we had to face was a room ceiling design. To keep it timeless, classic and trying to skip the floral overflow, we decided to mix airy and unique elements - white paper lanterns and some white & royal blue florals. Eventually, together with the proper lighting, we got an absolutely magical vibe. Check out before and after photos below. Isn’t it a gorgeous wedding transformation?

The reception was filled with laugh, dances, sweet toasts, happy tears, and a lot of happiness.

As the send-off, Anna and Dan decided to have the grand sparklers exit that was worth their royal castle wedding.
